Juicer: Why You Want One & Which One We Like

Last summer my husband, John, returned from a work outing to his boss's boss's house in Rhode Island spewing enviable reports of the fresh fruit and vegetable juices he’d sipped between meetings. He immediately ordered a juicer from Amazon.

We usually agonize over big purchases, comparing brands, models, and prices. But in this case, I was grateful for John’s impulse buy: This Breville model does exactly what it is supposed to do and the cleanup takes less than five minutes.

This is an expensive piece of metal, yes. But if you’ve never had fresh juice, consider the difference between mushy, overly sweet canned peaches and a perfectly sweet, juicy, tender July peach from the farmer’s market.         —Bec
