#GreatStarts Breakfast with Olympians

The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Kellogg's.

Just being in the presense of an athlete at the top of their sport is inspirational and motivating. I've always found that learning about what makes champions succeed at their sports helps me grow as triathlete.

So, when I was invited to attend a press event for the launch of Kellogg's #GreatStarts campaign for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, I jumped at the chance. At the event, held at the New Museum in NYC, Kellogg's announced their team of 11 sponsored athletes for the upcoming games and premiered a series of videos showing how each athlete got their start. After the videos were played, the athletes and the press spent about an hour just milling around, talking about the videos, training and Olympic preparations.

The most exciting part about this campaign is that for every social media mention of these Smart Start videos (tweet, like, share, pin, etc.) using the hashtag #GoodStarts, Kellogg's will donate a breakfast to a child in need.

The videos are so well done and will suck you in after the first few seconds. They are all about 2.5 minutes long and some are funny, some are tearjerkers and some are just plain cute.

Queue them up on a YouTube playlist during your next treadmill run or bike trainer session. Here are a few to get you started:

For laughs:

For tears:

and the top one? That's the one I identified with the most!
