Late Summer BBQ - The Warm Up

As I mentioned yesterday, last night we hosted an anniversary party for two of our friends. After a LONG day spent at the Mohonk Preserve - rock climbing for some, trail running for others - we came back to RL to a feast fit for hungry athletes. Our guests planned, shopped and prepared the food. I didn't have to do anything but set up and make sure people had enough to drink.

The meal started with this rustic, yet elegant charcuterie spread. The meats (lamb pastrami, capicola, regular pastrami), chutneys and pickles are from Dicksons Farmstand while the cheese and figs came from Lucy's Whey

Starving from several hours of climbing hard routes (Fat City/Broken Sling) and running to Awosting Falls, this was just a warm up. Continue reading for details as our feast progressed from main set to cool down.

Can you describe the meats? And the cheeses? But, really I'm more interested in the meat.
