Also, dogs can make great training partners. Some people run miles and miles with their dogs and even take them swimming in lakes. Or, some do none of the above and just fall asleep hugging their owner's trainer:

Both of us will be racing and both of us have titles to reclaim.

This is Team Fight's home course and we're looking forward to wearing yellow and racing with our fellow Fighters!

If you watch the race in person, the race starts at 6:40 am in Centennial Park. If you want to follow the race on the internet, check the race website for live updates.

Good luck to everyone racing!

A typical Sunday morning for us (when we're not racing) starts off with a long run. Today we decided to go flat for the run since it involved some pretty challenging, at least on paper, intervals. Laurel broke out a pair of new Nike LunarEclipse running shoes for the occasion. Since my workout was shorter than Laurel's I hopped on my mountain bike and paced her through her last few intervals. I rode just over 5:20 pace and she stuck to me like glue! My running pace is down to my high school dual meet 3200m speed, but improving with every run.
