I am back in New York and am working with my trainers and doctor to figure out what exactly I did to my foot while running into and out of the ocean.

While it is disappointing that I didn't finish the race, it was great to be back in the ITU action. The race venue was one of the best Continental Cup courses I've experienced. Beautiful, clean water, no cars or potholes on the bike course and lots of fans.

Congrats to all of the podium finishers, including Sarah Wassner Flynn, who collected prize money for her 3rd place in the 6 am 3k road race.
